Our Godfather, Raouf Youssef, started our journey of display manufacturing and design after his unrivaled success in the renovation of antiquities and museums’ construction and fit-out. He set out to save the sunken Nuba temples and antiquities of the Philae temple which were affected by the High Dam floods. Later, he took on several iconic projects including but not limited to, the renovation of the antiquities of Qaitbay Citadel and Mohamed Ali Mosque. As Youssef noticed the high demand for modern museum display cases, he started gathering a team of museum, conservation, and engineering experts and this laid the groundwork for the establishment of his manufacturing firm under the name of APT systems in 1998. In 2002, his daughter Naniss Youssef followed in his footsteps and then became an integral part of his team of experts and became the CEO of APT Systems in 2006. In 2021, Naniss, still holding on to her father’s legacy and with more than 25 years of experience, passion and persistence, established Montal Systems, Montal Systems is not only providing bespoke world-class display cases to regional and international museums but also provides full-fledged Modern Museum Solutions and fit out.
